Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the spectacular Rio Celeste Waterfall, known  worldwide for its sky-blue waters. Explore the rainforest and meet all the animals that  call it home. 

Rio Celeste is formed by the confluence of two rivers, Quebrada Agria, and Buena Vista,  in the rainforest of Tenorio Volcano. The river gets its particular coloration from an  optical effect caused by the dispersion of sunlight on the water, which has a high  concentration of aluminum silicates, resulting in a sky-blue color. Legends say the waters of the Rio Celeste Waterfall are this striking color because  when God finished painting the sky, he washed his brushes in the water of this river. 

Explore the area on a two-hour, medium-difficulty hike, ideal for avid hikers. Right after, we will take you for a swim in this beautiful river. Bring a towel and a  swimsuit. Later in the day, we visit another part of the forest, where you can enjoy beautiful  flowers, poison frogs, and sloths on an easy one-hour walk.
